Obituary

Ronnie Dale Stubblefield, who resided near Cecil, Arkansas, died Monday, February 22, 2021, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born July 1, 1953, in Charleston, Arkansas, to H.T. "Tottie" Stubblefield and Beulah Mae (Mantooth) Stubblefield. He was 67 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Tottie Stubblefield.

Ronnie was a Vietnam War veteran. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a 1971 graduate of County Line High School and member of First Baptist Church in Branch. Ronnie was an avid gardener, and he enjoyed working in his yard and flower beds. Ronnie loved his family very much and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 27th, at First Baptist Church in Branch, with Pastor Tim Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow, with military honors, at Lowes Creek Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy (Shelton) Stubblefield; a daughter, Stacey Crawford and husband Bryant of Rock Island, Illinois; a son, Scott Stubblefield and wife Jamie of LeClare, Iowa; his mother, Beulah Mae Stubblefield of Cecil; a step-son, John Farrell and wife Ginger of Melbourne, Florida; a sister, Marilyn Sutherland of Hot Springs, Arkansas; two brothers, Gary Stubblefield and wife Kathi and Jimmy Stubblefield and wife Melinda, all of Branch; eight grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Bryant Crawford, Josh Stubblefield, Marshall Speer, Tyler Stubblefield, Dagon McCombs, Jason Hughey, and John Earl Corley.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask donations be made to National Kidney Foundation, 1818 N. Taylor St. #186 Little Rock, AR  72207 or to Branch First Baptist Church, 106 W. Hudson St. Branch, AR  72928.
