Ronnie Lee "Arkie" Honea, 65, of the Cox Valley Community died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born April 12, 1943, in Paris, AR. He was a retired truck driver for the Eddie English Trucking Co. in Subiaco, and was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Oregon.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ruth Honea.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2008, at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with burial at Cedar Grove Cemetery south of Caulksville.

He is survived by four daughters, Sondra Reed of Caulksville, Pamela Meador of Charleston, Joyce Martines of Subiaco, and Bonnie Pyle of Cox Valley; one son, Roy Honea of Caulksville; four sisters, Patsy Pettigrew of Paris, Brenda Masters of Clarksville, Sharon Kerr of Fort Smith, and Peach Cunningham of Midway; one brother, Billy Lewis of Paris; twenty-two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be John Paul Combs, Nathan Combs, Kyle Honea, Ryan Honea, Brandon Swain, Mark Swain, Zach Parham, and Travis Parham.

The family will visit with friends Thursday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home in Charleston.
