Ronald Paul Schwietzer, who resided in Fort Smith, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born January 1, 1953, in Los Angeles, California to Jack Schwietzer and Ann (Michayluk) Schwietzer. He was 66 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Schwietzer , and his step-father, Carl Slicker.

Ron worked in maintenance for Walmart in Fort Smith.

A family held memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 5th, at Grace Community Church, located @ 4001 Brooken Hill Drive, Fort Smith.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Elizabeth "Liz" (Berry) Schwietzer; his daughter, Annie Aviles and Chris Meek of Monroe, Oklahoma; a step-daughter, Candace Valencia and husband Travis of Fort Smith; his mother, Ann Slicker of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Jayda Cravey, Aubryanna Valencia, and Anniston Valencia.
