Ronald Edward Lee, who resided near Subiaco, Arkansas, died Monday, November 14, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on September 23, 1949, in Fort Smith to the late Vernon Emery Lee and Georgia LaVerne (Stubblefield) Lee. He was 73 years old.
Ron was a 1967 graduate of Charleston High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired after working 18 years as an EMT for Franklin County and for several years, was grounds keeper for Little Creek Country Club in Ratcliff. Ron was an avid golfer, hunter, and fisherman and a good friend to many. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Bro. Ron Chenault officiating. Burial will follow at McKendree Cemetery, located north of Subiaco, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anna (Fulmer) Lee; a daughter, Amber Denney of Fort Smith; a sister, Karen Still and husband Charles of Fort Smith; three nieces, Kristi Dillard and husband Jeff of Fort Smith; Jennifer Miars and fiancee Kyle of Dallas, Texas, and Elizabeth Alexander and husband Chad of Princeton, Texas; one nephew, Bruce Fulmer of Springdale; six great-nieces and two great-nephews.
Pallbearers are Bruce Fulmer, Jeff Dillard, Alec Buckner, Three Harris, Ted Parker, and Stephen Foster.
Honorary pallbearers are John Miesner, Dan Gray and T.J. Brown.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked donations be made to any animal shelter of your choice.
