Roland (Ron) Tead Hood, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, in Fort Smith. He was born on May 31, 1936, in Fourche, South Dakota, to the late Bud Folsom Hood and Lilas (Winchester) Hood. He was 85 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Hood.

Ron was a retired electronic engineer, owner and operator of North Hill Enterprises, and a member of the U.S. Army National Guard.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 1st at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston. Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife, Susie Hood of the home; a son, Todd Hood of Phoenix, Arizona; three daughters, Kimberly Carter of Charleston, Tamera Carter of Phoenix, and Patty Wallar of Phoenix; a brother, Bud Folson Hood of Washington; and a sister, Ivy Sonne of Phoenix.
