Roger Wayne Chastain, who resided in Barling, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home. He was born September 30, 1952 in Paris, Arkansas to Raymond Edward Chastain and Billie Jean (Phillips) Chastain. He was 63 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Chastain.

Roger was a retired truck driver for Pro-Pack Logistics, Inc. in Fort Smith. He was a 1970 graduate of Southside High School in Fort Smith and a member of First Lutheran Church in Fort Smith.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 19th, at First Lutheran Church in Fort Smith, with Pastor John Merrill and Rev. Richard Goodrum officiating. Burial of cremains, at a later date, will be at Hampton Cemetery, located north of Branch, Arkansas. Services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah (Christman) Chastain; one daughter, Heather Christian and husband Todd of Burke, Virginia; two sons, Nick Chastain and wife Casey of Fort Smith and Brad Chastain of Barling; his mother, Billie Chastain of Bloomer; two sisters, Mary Sory and husband Emory of Charleston and Kathy Chastain and partner Janie Burks of Springdale; four brothers, Ray Chastain of Fort Smith, David Chastain and wife Theresa of Charleston, Phillip Chastain and wife Karon of Bloomer, and Bud Chastain and wife Linda of Wichita, Kansas; and two grandchildren, Austin Chastain of Fort Smith and Cole Christian of Burke, Virginia.

Public viewing will begin Friday morning and family visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home in Charleston.
