Rodney Clifton White, 74, of Lavaca died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007, in Arkoma. He was born Feb. 3, 1933, in Charleston to the late Emmett Lee White and Clara Belle Underwood White. He was a retired fork lift driver for 37 years for the James River Corp. in Fort Smith, a member of the Arkansas Valley Antique Tractor Club, a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War, and attended Riverdale Freewill Baptist Church. Officiating the memorial service will be the Rev. Scott Alrich.

Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, 2007, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. The body was cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home of Charleston.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Ulmer of Caldwell, Idaho and Melinda Thompson of Fort Smith; five sons, Mitch White of Lavaca, Mike White of Conway, Nick White of Winter Garden, Fla., Mark White of Lavaca and Marshall White of Charleston; three sisters, Betty Satterfield of Van Buren, Carol Graham of Fort Smith and Treva McGuire of Lavaca; three brothers, Donald White of Charleston, Jim White of Alma and Brian White of Lavaca; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family will visit with friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
