Roderick Nolan Gambrell, Sr.

Roderick Nolan Gambrell, Sr. of Roland, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 27, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Douglas Earl Gambrell and Audrey Lois (Cox) Gambrell. He was 82 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Douglas Gambrell.

Roderick was a retired truck driver for Ft. Worth Carrier Corporation (FWCC) in Roland, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, Mamie (Chadick) Gambrell; four sons, Robert Lane and wife Vanessa of Medford, Oregon, Roderick Gambrell, Jr. and wife Callie of Durant, Oklahoma, Doug Gambrell and wife Summer of Dora, Oklahoma, and David Gambrell and wife Melissa of Muldrow, Oklahoma; and (11) grandchildren.
