Roberta Lee Sargent, who resided in Barling, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022, in Barling. She was born June 23, 1945, in Porterville, California, to the late Fred Trott and Twila (Elliott) Trott. She was 76 years old.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Theron Sargent and three sons, Donald, Randy and Travis Mathis.

Roberta was a retired employee of the State of California.

The family will hold a memorial service on at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 with location to be announced with Rev. Jack Roper officiating.  Inurnment will be at Oakhill Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Destynee Masthis; two sisters, Betty Newberry of New Hampshire and Paulette Goodall and husband of Greenwood; and one brother Weldon Trott of Escondido, California.
