Robert Eugene White, Sr., who resided in the Ursula Community near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born August 25, 1938, in Charleston, to the late Grady H. White and Beatrice L. Means White. He was 82 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold G. White.
Robert was a missile technician while serving in the U.S. Air Force for 23 years. After his retirement from the U.S. Air Force, Robert started a new career as a maintenance repairman for 19 years at Rheem Manufacturing Company in Fort Smith, and he was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his children, Robert White, Jr. of Charleston, Deborah Graham and husband Kenneth of Lavaca, Shawn White of Charleston, Frank White of Barling, and Dion White and wife Heather of Charleston; a wife of 43 years and mother of his children, Ida Mae White of Barling; a sister, Zoeann Halford and husband Chad of Greenwood; a sister-in-law, Shirley White of Greenwood; eight grandchildren, Whitney White, Wynde Schilling, Robert Moore, Darion Bond, Evelyn Graham, Kaebrey White, Carol White, and Kali Moses; two great-grandchildren, Austin Schilling and Hudson Bond.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
