Robert Kenneth Smith Sr., age 90, of Central City, Arkansas, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born April 12, 1928, in Fort Smith to the late Roy and Gertie (Thornton) Smith. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lila Faye Davis and Patsy Taylor.

Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was the owner of Perfecto Cleaners until the 1980's and after the cleaners was sold, he worked for the Fort Smith Stockyards. Kenneth loved the rodeo. He steer wrestled until he was 65 years old, having participated in the Arkansas Rodeo Finals and the Old Timers National Finals in Las Vegas. His passion was working with horses and cattle. He was a true cowboy.

A graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 23rd, at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, with Pastor Steve Evans officiating. All arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Doris A. (McMahan) Smith; two sons, Robert K. Smith, Jr. and wife Jeri and Alan K. Smith; two granddaughters, Kasey McMahen and Sunny Moore; a great-granddaughter, Maeli McMahen and a great-grandson, Lucas Moore; one sister, Dana Sue Belue; two brothers, Donald Smith and Larry Charles Smith.

Pallbearers are Robert Smith, Jr., Alan K. Smith, Jim Pettyjohn, Bill Hanson, Ty Moore, and Chris Miller.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
