Robert Jack Perkins, Sr. of Flippin, Arkansas, died Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Heart of Hospice at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 20, 1934, in Russell, Kansas, to the late Corl David Perkins and Margaret Irene (Sands) Perkins. He was 89 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jean Louise (Clawson) Perkins.

For many years, Robert owned and operated the Sonic Drive-In on Midland Blvd. in Fort Smith and served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by a daughter, Jane Markowitz and husband John David of Reading, Kansas; two sons, Robert Perkins, Jr. and wife Jean of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Tom Perkins of Flippin; and seven grandchildren.
