Robert "Bob" Bruce Choate, Jr., who resided in Booneville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at his home. He was 74 years old. Bob was born July 22, 1949, in Pocahontas, AR, to the late Robert Bruce Choate, Sr. and Betty Jo (Blankenship) Choate. With his parents and younger sister, Cathy, Bob moved to Jonesboro, AR, where he graduated from Jonesboro High School, Class of 1967.
After a very long courtship (of two whole weeks), Bob married Rebecca Paulette Bennett, on August 1st, 1980. They were happily married for 43 years and lived and raised their family in Searcy, AR.
Bob was a decorated soldier and served 35 years in the United States Army. He served in several stations, including Europe and he rose to the rank of Sargeant Major.
