Obituary

Robert C. Baumgartner resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, December 13, 2010 at his home. He was born June 2, 1926 in Paris to the late John Nicholas Baumgartner and Lena (Huck) Baumgartner. He was 84 years old.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Christine (Burkhard) Baumgartner, his step-mother, Marie Baumgartner; one sister, Elizabeth Thron; five brothers, Louis, Johnny, and Al Baumgartner, and Fred and Bill Klein.

Robert was a retired concrete finisher for Al Baumgartner Construction Company, was a World War II Army veteran, member of the VFW and member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston.

Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Thursday, December 16th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.

Funeral Mass service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 17th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father Dhanraj Narla and Father Peter Sharum officiating. Interment will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by three sisters, Isabelle Coupe of Kansas City, Missouri, Mag Kleck of Fort Smith, and Carol Jetton of Charleston; one brother, Bob Klein of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Joey Kleck, Alan Baumgartner, John Jetton, Alvin Huck, Mike Thron, and Mike Coupe.
