Obituary

Rev. Robert E. Adams, passed peacefully from this life into the presence of our Lord, on August 8, 2021.  He was born October 15, 1928, to Carl and Edith Adams in New Blaine, Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 64 years, Betty Adams, his brothers, Lonnie, Lindal, Charles and John Loyd, and a granddaughter, Carey Adams.

Rev. Adams was an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God.  He was a good shepherd and loved to build and improve any church he pastored.  He served in the U. S. Army during WWII and loved to wear his WWII hat.  He and his wife, Betty, were faithful servants to God and man.  They were loved and honored by their family and those who knew them.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12th at Midway Assembly of God in Midway, Arkansas officiated by Rev. Rick Nye and Rev. Chris Jackson.  Burial will be at May Cemetery, east of Midway, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Chesney (James) of Paragould; a son, David Adams of Conway; four grandchildren, Jason Adams (Mikaela), Justin Adams (Kelly), Jon Kelly (Kahlani) and Ryan Adams; fourteen great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 12th prior to the funeral service at Midway Assembly of God Church.
