Rickey Wayne Dooly, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at Baptist Health Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born on April 24, 1955, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Earl J. "Peanut" Dooly and Collene Virginia (Hancock) Dooly. He was 66 years old. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Dooly.
Rick was a 1974 graduate of Lavaca High School. Before his 41 year career at AOG, Rick worked along side with his dad as a sharecropper and while in high school, worked with his dad at the DX Station in Lavaca. Rick was a field service man for AOG in Fort Smith and member of Community Bible Church in Fort Smith.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 18th at First Baptist Church in Lavaca, officiated by Rev. Kyle Horton. Burial will follow at Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Coeta (Chancellor) Dooly; two daughters, Candice Pollock and husband Fred of Lavaca and April Miesner and husband Jeff of Greenwood; two brothers, Kennith "Cat" Dooly and wife Alicia of Lavaca and Danny Dooly and wife Diane of Northwest Arkansas; four grandchildren, Blakely Stringer and husband Zach, Rylee Graham, Staley Miesner, and Olivia; one great-grandson, Rhett Stringer.
Pallbearers are Mike Ray, Billy Paul Ray, Dean Gibson, Kenny Hobbs, Dan Henson, Dean Smithson, Jack Michaels, and Jim Corbell.
Honorary pallbearers are Jay Dooly, Jimmy Lee, workers and co-workers of AOG, and the late David McGee, Buddy Smithson, Ronald Hobbs, and Jimmy Hobbs.
The family will visit with friends Thursday night from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Lavaca.
