Richard Ray Stubblefield, who resided in Charleston, died Thursday, May 6, 2021, at his home. He was born May 12, 1952, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Luther Stubblefield and Ruby (Rainwater) Stubblefield. He was 68 years old.
Richard was a retired CNC Operator at Baldor, where he worked for 22 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a 1970 graduate of Charleston High School, and a member of Bethel Church of Christ.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 10th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Bro. John Stewart officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Tate Cemetery, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Annette Stubblefield; two daughters, Amy Maxwell and husband Devlan of Mustang, Oklahoma and Alexis Ruston of Charleston; three sisters, Alvena McCoy and husband Bob of Charleston, Margaret Roper and husband Alton of Scranton and Helen Stubblefield of Charleston; two brothers, Dennis Stubblefield and wife Sherry of Charleston and Gary Stubblefield and wife Lisa of Charleston; five grandchildren, Makala Mooney, Madison and Gavin Maxwell, Regan Stubblefield, and Camy Ruston; two great-grandchildren, Mazelyn and Journi Mooney; and special ones who loved him like a Papa, Whitney McCoy, Kaydense, Rhylynn and Caston Jones.
Pallbearers are his nephews, Michael and Chris McCoy, Andy, Willie and Waylon Stubblefield, and Steven, Darrin, and Lance Roper. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Bailey, Donald Riechmann, and Bruce McFerran
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
