Richard Kent Moffet, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016, in Paris. He was born May 23, 1931 in Paris to the late Carl Eugene Moffet and Lillie Belle (Horne) Moffet. He was 84 years old. He was also preceded in death by one son, Ricky Moffet.
Richard was a retired truck driver for Tyson Foods, Inc. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and he was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Paris.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23rd, at First Freewill Baptist Church in Paris. Burial will be at Baxley Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotheton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Imogene (Lovelace) Moffet; one daughter, Linda Parsons and husband Chuck of Caulksville; five sons, Marvin Moffet and wife Carolyn of Caulksville, Jimmy Moffet of Cox Valley, Tim Moffet and wife Betty of Scranton, Mike Moffet and wife Tami of Paris, and Steve Moffet and wife Janice of Arlington, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Yvonne Moffet of Ozark; (13) grandchildren and (19) great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Marvin, Jimmy, Tim, and Mike Moffet, Chuck Parsons, and Cecil Lovelace.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
