Richard Lee Cook, who resided in Fort Smith, formerly of Santa Fe, Texas, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019, at his daughter's home in Fort Smith. He was born August 25, 1953, in Texas City, Texas, to Alvin Rayburn Cook and Ida Elaine (Madden) Cook. He was 65 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Rayburn Cook; and a son, Richard Lee Cook, Jr.

Richard served 20 years and was a retired U.S. Marine Corps. veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Lou (Welch) Cook; a daughter, Cynthia Cook; a step-daughter, LaDonna Liddell; two step-sons, Billy Jack Liddell and Robert Liddell; his mother, Elaine Greene; two sisters, Linda Singer and Barbara Cook; a brother, Alvin Cook; (13) grandchildren and (14) great-grandchildren.

A family held memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 23rd, at VFW Post #5400 in Santa Fe, Texas. Officiating the service will be Richie Ellis.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Service in Fort Smith.
