Richard Wayne Brewer Grimes, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born January 21, 1954 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was 61 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arbie J. Grimes and Rose Ann (Schulte) Grimes. He was also preceded in death by his birth parents, Elige Albert Brewer and Mattie Mae (Carroll) Brewer; one sister, Zona Ellen Brewer Martin Foster; two brothers, Robert Dean Brewer Grimes and William Edward Swafford.
Richard previously worked at Whirlpool in Fort Smith and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris. He was a member of the Branch and Ratcliff Fire Department.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 6th, at Vest Cemetery, located north of Charleston in Franklin County, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Paris.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Mitchell) Grimes; two sons, Richard Lewis Grimes and Jessie Wayne Grimes, both of Paris; five sisters, Patsy Ann Williams of Arkoma, Oklahoma, Vandy Ruth Rackley of Texas, Mary Jean Lincks of Lavaca, Mattie Lou Jenkins of Arkansas, and Brenda Sue Moore of Fort Smith; one brother, Sammy Brewer of Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Carlene Biggs, Eddie Lee Foster, Jimmy Don Sigler, Joe English, Tyler English, and Tiffany Biggs.
Public viewing will begin at noon Friday to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Family will visit with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service.
