Rebecca Jo Sumner of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Heart of Hospice Inpatient Unit in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born on February 8, 1949, in Rushville, Indiana, to the late Herman Smith and Nancy Ann (Clark) Smith. She was 75 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Chuck Sumner.

Rebecca was a faithful member for over 20 years at Kingdom Living Church in Fort Smith. She loved her family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 9th at Kingdom Living Church in Fort Smith.

She is survived by her two daughters, Denise Claypool and husband Steve of Farmington and Amy Sheen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and six grandchildren, Christopher Sheen, Joseph Sheen, Matthew Sheen, Alexus Bush, Brittany Bush and Darrell Claypool.
