Rebecca Gwynne Smith Parks, 25, of Charleston, Arkansas died Tuesday, August 26, 2008 in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born October 31, 1982 in Fallbrook, California. She worked for Wal-Mart on Zero Street in Ft. Smith as an overnight associate. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Charleston. Officiating the funeral service will be Rev. Jackie Brown. She was preceded in death by her step-grandmother, Mary Jonas.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2008 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Charleston, with burial at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home of Charleston.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Parks of Barling; one daughter, Aspen Dawn Parks of Southhaven, Mississippi; her father and step-mother, Richard & Mary Smith of Charleston; her mother and step-father, Rosie and John Schooley of San Diego, California; her step-grandfather, Robert Jonas of Charleston; her maternal grandmother, Marie Sanchez of Los Angeles and maternal grandfather, Jose Ynzunza of Los Angeles, California; two sisters, Angela Loughridge & husband Brad of Charleston and Heidi Lagrone & husband Matt of Little Rock; two brothers, Richard Lee Smith II of Pueblo, Colorado and John Howard Schooley III of Lubbock, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Brad Loughridge, Matthew Dorman, Billy Bagwell, Joey Jones, Ronnie Roper, Jeff Carsten and Samuel Paul Ynzunza.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the funeral home.
