Reba Kate (Dooly) Green resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, December 27, 2009, in a Fort Smith hospital. She was born March 24, 1913 near the Grand Prairie Community in Franklin County to the late Griss Dooly and Kate (Layman) Dooly. She was 96 years old.

Reba married Ned S. Green on July 3, 1933 and were married 62 years. She was a very loving wife and devoted mother & grandmother. She was a homemaker in the true sense of the word. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Lavaca, where she served in the Women's Missionary Union for many many years. She was a dedicated Christian and will be truly missed by her family, loved ones and many friends. She resided in Lavaca for most of her life, but lived in Fletcher, Oklahmoma for 12 years when her husband was transferred to Fort Sill, Oklahoma when Fort Chaffee was closed in the late 1950's. She also resided in California for a short time in the 1940's during war times.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ned S. Green; a daughter, Joyce (Green) Crater; her sister, Dorothy (Dooly) Lockridge and three brothers, Griss, Roy and Bertrand Dooly.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29th, at the First Baptist Church in Lavaca. Burial will be at the Lavaca City Cemetery in Lavaca, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

She is survived by one daughter, Pat Sharpe & husband O.J., of Rolling Fork, Mississippi; two sons, Ron Green & wife Donna, of Paris and Roger Green & wife Norma, of Lavaca; (12) grandchildren, Scott Green of Paris, Lorrie Green of Eureka Springs, Kim Lamb of Fayetteville, Andy Sharpe of Wildwood, MO, Lisa (Sharpe)Prevost of Jackson, MS, Lauren (Sharpe) Renfroe of Oxford, MS, Matt Sharpe of Rolling Fork, MS, Elneeta (Crater) Mayberry of Bowie, TX, Juanita (Crater) Dalton of Burkburnett, TX, Clint Crater of Tichnor, AR, Meleia (Green) Zimmerman of Lavaca and Stephen Green of Lavaca; (20) great grandchildren; (2) step great grandchildren and (1) step great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons, Stephen Green, Matt Sharpe, Andy Sharpe, Scott Green, Josh Green, and Zach Green.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her nephews, Billy, Bob, Bryant, Darrell, and Gary Dooly, Maurice, Rayburn, Richard, Woody, Donnie, Mac, George, Jake, Wayne and Randy Green.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering or to other Missions of your choice thru the Lavaca First Baptist Church.

Family visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the Lavaca First Baptist Church.
