Reba J. Carruth who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Covington Court Health and Rehab in Fort Smith. She was born January 28, 1910 in the Moore's Rock community near Lavaca to the late Thomas Piercy and Elizabeth (Coyl) Piercy. She was 101 years old.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl H. Carruth and one daughter, Lavanna Morris.

Reba was a retired cook for the Lavaca Public School System and a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 16th at Carruth Cemetery, located east of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Mark Weaver.

She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Mainard Bliss of Lavaca; one son, Wendell Carruth of Lavaca; seven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Family will visit with friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
