Obituary

Raymond Wesley Mainer, who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born August 1, 1935, in Paris, Arkansas, to the late Wesley Don Mainer and Regina Katherine (Soller) Mainer. He was 85 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty (Hawkins) Mainer, and a brother, Gene Mainer.

Raymond was owner/operator of Mainer Construction Company. He was a graduate of County Line High School and he attended the Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 3 rd at the Caulksville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Bill VanMeter officiating. Burial will follow at Hampton Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Hendren and husband Brad of Lavaca; two sons, Donnie Mainer and wife Alice of Paris and Doug Mainer of Charleston; two sisters, Donna Turner and husband J. B. of Branch and Geneva Goodson and husband Doug of Nashville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Carl Ray Mainer, Christie Whitson, Gina Durning, Cindy Mari Gage, Clint Mainer and Mitch Hendren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Jack Soller, Carl Ray Mainer, Clint Mainer, Mitch Hendren, Brad Hendren and Alan Whitson.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
