Rayburn L. Green, who resided in Lavaca, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016, at his home. He was born April 9, 1943, in Charleston, Arkansas, to the late Louie William Green and Madge Altus (Gantt) Green. He was 73 years old.

Rayburn was a 1961 graduate of Lavaca High School, and he served in the Arkansas National Guard. Through the years, he was a homebuilder, co-owner & operator of G & G Brick Company in Fort Smith and Sunset Lodge Retirement Center of Greenwood. He served on the Board of Directors at River Valley Bank & Trust in Lavaca and Barling. Rayburn was a 32nd Degree Mason and Past-Master of Victory Lodge #470 in Barling, and he was a member of Lavaca First Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4th, at Lavaca First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Eric Green and Rev. Gary Baxter officiating. Burial will be at Oak Valley Cemetery, located south of Lavaca, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of almost 47 years, Selma (Graham) Green; two sons, Justin Green and wife Amy and Cory Green and wife Melissa, both of Lavaca; two brothers, Maurice Green and wife Virginia and Richard Green and wife Charlene, all of Lavaca; four grandchildren, Avery, Ireland, Rylie, and Baylor.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Bias, Stanley Green, Mike Newman, Willard Holmes, Wendell Holmes, Danny Cross, Dane Douglas, and Jack Stuart.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Dane Douglas Sunday School Class.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at Lavaca First Baptist Church.
