Obituary

Ray Cameron resided at Paris, Arkansas, departed this life on Saturday, November 15, 2008, in his home. He was born February 1, 1923 in Logan County to the late John Daniel Cameron and Mattie Johnson Cameron. He was 85 years old. He was a retired supervisor at Rheem in Fort Smith, an Army veteran of WWII, member of the National Lodge #378 in Paris and a member of the Paris Christian Center.

He is also preceded in death by his step-mother, Nora Cameron Spoon; two sons, Charles Wayne Cameron and Jasper Cameron; one daughter, Alta Boncheff; three sisters, Opal Thompson Bangman, Dora Keith and Dorothy Graham; five brothers, Garland, Horace "Buster", James, John Wesley, and Johnny Cameron.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Esther Harger and Rev. Clarence Mathis.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Paris Christian Center with burial at Baxley Cemetery in Paris,
with Masonic Funeral Rites, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home of Paris.

He is survived by his wife, Eva, of the home; one daughter, Joyce Beshears of Fort Smith; two sons,
Carl Cameron of Paris and John Cameron of the home; three sisters,
Irene Todd of Glendora, CA., Ruth Rongey of Fayetteville and Mae Kiraksey of Paris; four brothers, Marvin Cameron of Magazine, Kenneth
Ray Cameron of Subiaco, Gene Cameron of Magazine and Sammy Carl Cameron of Paris; 18 Grandchildren;
35 Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Pall Bearers will be Alfred Ray Thompson, Hobart Ray Keith, Wilton Keith, Ryan Boncheff, Van Powell, Michael Patterson, David Rongey and Thomas King.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be Marvin, Sam, Gene, Kenneth and Loyal Ray Cameron.

The family will visit with friends 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home in Paris.
