Obituary

Randy Eugene Morgan was born on June 3, 1952, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Alvin and Flo Morgan. He grew up in Fort Smith and graduated from Southside High School.

Randy pursued a career in retail sales, specifically in the shoe business, following in the footsteps of his family as a third-generation shoe business owner. His grandfather, Troy Morgan, had a shoe repair business on Grand Avenue. His father, Alvin Morgan, owned Morgan Shoe's at Grand Plaza, and his mother, Flo Morgan, owned a Stride Rite shoe store in Central Mall.

Randy lived in Tulsa, working in the shoe department at Dillard's. He later worked at Morgan's Shoe Store and Faded Glory Jeans Store in Van Buren. He eventually moved to Oklahoma City to open a Stride Rite children's shoe store at Penn Square Mall.

Randy had a lifelong love of music and cars and enjoyed both thoroughly. He collected albums, tapes, and CDs throughout his life and played the saxophone in the Southside Rebel band.

Due to a stroke and other health challenges, Randy lived in assisted living centers in Oklahoma City and Roland, Oklahoma. He made friends wherever he went with his positive attitude and broad smile, and he enjoyed his Tuesday morning gospel singing group in Roland.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Flo Morgan. He is survived by his three sisters: Sylvia Ann Varnadore (H.C.) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Sandi Taylor(Gene) of Ocala, Florida; and Georgia Custer(Johnny), of Owasso, Oklahoma.
