Ralph Gale Bowen, who resided in Mulberry, Arkansas, died Sunday, December 15, 2019, in Fort Smith. He was born April 14, 1950, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Charles Edgar Bowen and Wanda Kathleen (Benson) Bowen. He was 69 years old. He was preceded in death also by his first wife, Louise (Weeze); two sons, David Bowen and Benjamin Slone; one grandson, Zach Jeremiah; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee James; one sister, Karen Partain and three brothers, Charles Bowen, Kevin Bowen and Timothy Bowen.
Ralph was retired from the Terminal Railroad Assn. He was a member of Gothic Lodge #0852 in Fairview Heights, IL, the Fort Smith V.F.W., Patriot Guard Riders and a retired fisherman for Woods & Water Tournament. He was an adventurous hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was an organ donor and loved by many friends, old and new. He left behind his two beloved pets, Quall and Tillie. You will always live on in all of our hearts, we love you.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betsy" (Weinhoffer) Bowen; three daughters, Carla Johnson of St. Louis, Deb Jeremiah and husband Jim (Butcher) of Steeleville, IL and Abby Sieberg and husband Phillip of Sparta, IL; one son, William Bowen of Peoria, IL; four sisters, Fern Galas of Branson, Glenda Quinn of Arizona, Pamela Bowen of Fairmont City, IL and Theresa Bowen of Chester, IL; three brothers, Larry Bowen of St. Libory, IL, Dennis Bowen of Evansville, IL and Curtis Bowen of Troy, IL; eleven grandchildren, Joey Bowen, Christopher James, Harley Jackson, Patrick Bowen, April Jones, Ray Jackson, Mason Bowen, Eli Sieberg, Taira, Olivia and Sophia Slone; many great-grandchildren; as well as his mother and father in-law, Ron and Ruth Weinhoffer of Coulterville, IL and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Service, 914 North 32nd Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas, 479-494-3901.
