Phyllis Lois Pile, who resided in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, formerly of the Peter Pender Community near Branch, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016, in Hot Springs Village. She was born November 9, 1925, in Toledo, Ohio to the late Edward James Stanley and Frances Amelia (Schofield) Stanley. She was 90 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Colonel Selden H. Pile; two sisters, Hilda Leone and Pearl Phillips; and two brothers, Edward Stanley and William Stanley.
Phyllis was a homemaker and she was a member of Village United Methodist Church.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at Lowes Creek Cemetery, located north of Branch, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen Lee Ryerson of Boulder, Colorado, Debbie Kay Cahill of Portland, Oregon, and Patricia Ann Griffin and husband Mike of Hot Springs Village; one sister, Reva Case and husband Zach of Henderson, Texas; one brother, Edward G. "Stan" Stanley and wife Corky of Austin, Texas; five grandsons, Chris Ryerson and wife Jodi, Dave Ryerson, Dallas Breed and wife Jessica, Mason Breed and wife Emily, and Schuyler Breed; three great-grandchildren, Reference Breed, Science Breed, and Pi Selden Breed; her sister-in-law, Mary Elizabeth Johnson Pile.
Pallbearers will be John Paul Pendergrass, Eric Pendergrass, Danny Council, and Jack Weisenbach.
Family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
