Phillip Michael Simpkins, who resided in Poteau, Oklahoma, died Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born September 21, 1957, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Jack Ramsey Simpkins and Frankie Elizabeth (Vinson) Simpkins. He was almost 64 years old.

Phillip was a retired registered nurse at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, and he worked several years at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa. He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by a sister, Tina Johnson of Yukon, Oklahoma; two nieces, Amy Waddle and Tara Hatfield; a nephew, Chad Johnson; five great-nieces; and KTL of KTLM.
