Obituary

Phillip Edward Chastain of  Charleston, Arkansas, died Thursday, January 12, 2023, in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  He was born on March 1, 1957, in Sinton, Texas, to Raymond Edward Chastain and Billie Jean (Phillips) Chastain.  He was 65 years old.  He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Chastain and a brother, Roger Wayne Chastain.

Phillip happily served in the trucking industry most of his life. He was an outstanding worker and loyal coworker. His career with Water Tech was one he cherished and enjoyed. The friendships and conversations he made along the way got him through his long days. Above all he loved his family, and his son Jason and daughter Sarah were his proudest accomplishments. His grandchildren, Ayden, Aric, Asher, and Millie, hung the moon. He would do anything for them and would do anything for anyone.

Phillip was a dedicated husband to his wife Karan for 29 years. He was one of seven children and the best son and brother you could ask for. He loved fellowship with friends and family and some good homemade ice cream. He will truly be missed by everyone that knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 18th at Brotherton Funeral Chapel in Charleston.  Cremation will follow after the service with a burial of cremains at a later date. All services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
