Patsy Rose Sarten, who resided in the Cox Valley Community, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2019, in Fort Smith. She was born July 29, 1941, in Casa, Arkansas, to the late Charles "Barney" Harris and Verlie Williams Harris. She was 77 years old. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa; a son, Donald; a grandson, Darryl Miller; and four brothers.
Pat was a homemaker and worked at Lady Fair Mills for 20 years. Pat was an avid dog lover and raised puppies for several years. She attended Paris Free Will Baptist Church. Pat loved her family and friends. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 5th, at Paris Free Will Baptist Church, with the Rev. J.C. Kinder officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Cemetery, located south of Ratcliff, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Carmel Ray Sarten; two daughters, Joy Miller and Jerry of Ratcliff and Linda Stinnett and husband Kenny of Paris; two sons, Johnny Sarten of Cox Valley and Ronald Sarten and wife Dorothy of Paris; five sisters, Ginger, Martha, Joyce, Ruby, and Mary; two brothers, Russell and Johnny Paul; (21) grandchildren, (36) great-grandchildren, and (11) great-great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.
Pallbearers are Jerry Miller, Jr., Mitch Stinnett, Steven Sarten, Jimmy Don Sarten, Choy Sarten, Little Johnny Sarten, Baby Johnny Sarten, and Brady Stinnett.
Honorary pallbearers are David, Charlie, and Dalton Sarten, Ricky and Randall Gordon, Corey Naegle, and all of her grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
