Obituary

Patsy Ann Newsom, 89, of Fort Smith, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 1, 2021.  She was born March 11, 1932, in Scranton, Arkansas, to the late Richard and Willie Marie (Young) Lucas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and four sisters, husband, Clay Garmon; a son-in-law, Steve Wilson; and a great-grandson Owen Johnston.

Patsy was a retired nurse, fan of stock car racing, and a passionate Arkansas Razorback fan.  She was former President of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and of the Baptist faith. She was a caring, compassionate, and a beautiful person inside and out. She treasured her family and embraced every moment with them.

She is survived by her husband, Billy "Bo" Newsom of Fort Smith; a daughter, Jimmie Wilson of Fort Smith; her grandchildren, Brandon (Kandis) Wilson, Nikki (Neil) Johnston, Eric (Amanda) Wilson; her great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Gabriel, Madison, Penelope, and Cooper.  She is also survived by one brother, Jack (Pearl) Lucas, and many nieces and nephews.

A "Celebration of Life" will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Cremation Services in Fort Smith, 914 N. 32nd St. Fort Smith, Arkansas 72903. (479) 434-3901
