Patsy Lou Gossage, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Monday, April 18, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born February 12, 1933, in Paris to the late Clarence Lyndell Briney and Emma Madeline (Brown) Briney. She was 83 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leon Robert Gossage.

Patsy worked in retail and retired from Woolworth's in Memphis, Tennessee. She was a 1952 graduate of Paris High School, and she was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her sister, Jeanne Briney Cox of Ennis, Texas; her brother, Lyndell Ray Briney of Hot Springs; two nieces, Kimberly Cox Beaver of Kansas City, Missouri and Kara Leigh Cox of Dallas, Texas; two great-nephews, Matthew Beaver and Maxwell Beaver.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris. There will be a private family held memorial service at Baxley Cemetery in Paris at a later date.
