Obituary
Ora Mae Trusty, who resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born January 19, 1924, in Subiaco, Arkansas to the late Austin Moore and Julia (Spicer) Moore. She was 92 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Mark Howe Trusty, Sr.; two grandsons, Ross Lee and Garland Cotton; four sisters, Gay Green, Irene Cravens, Katherine Newman, and Geneva Ezell; three brothers, Lamar Moore, Floyd Moore, and Austin Moore, Jr.
Ora Mae was a homemaker. She was a 1942 graduate of Scranton High School, and she was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris. For nearly 60 years, Ora Mae served as the church pianist at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She worked hard on the family farm, raising her family. She was a great cook, babysitter, and she loved her family very much. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22nd, at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Paris. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
She is survived by her two daughters, Wilma June Claunch of Paris and Wanda Reed and husband Ronnie of Mena; one son, Mark Trusty, Jr. and wife Lou of Subiaco; one sister, Wanda Featherston of Paris; (7) grandchildren, Lee and Belinda Claunch of Conway, Eric Claunch of Cape Girardeau, Missouri,Schelle and Kevin Conkin of Paris, Julia and Greg Anderson of Fayetteville, Leigh and Russell Hill of Pottsville, Andy and Alie Trusty of Lavaca, and Shayne and Rachel Lee of Hackett; (13) great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lee Claunch, Eric Claunch, Perry Claunch, Shayne Lee, Andy Trusty, and Kevin Conkin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan McMillan, Charlie Conkin, Garrett Conkin, Jacob Claunch, Michelle Lee, and Ross Carter.
Family will visit with friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
