O.C. Moore,
Jr.
December 13, 1939 – June 6, 2021
O.C. Moore, Jr., who resided near Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, at his home. He was born December 13, 1939, in the Glendale Community, located west of Booneville, Arkansas, to the late O.C. Moore, Sr. and Sallie Caldwell Moore. He was 81 years old. He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hill.
O.C. worked many years as a carpenter and in construction. He also was a Forest Ranger and a hog farmer. O.C. built his own log home where he currently lived and passed away. He loved running his bulldozer, had a good sense of humor, and was a faithful member of Branch Church of Christ where he taught Bible classes for many years. O.C. loved his Mimi and his family. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 10th, at the Church of Christ in Charleston, with Mr. Jim Kiger officiating. Burial will follow at Potts Cemetery, located south of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patsy Bradley Moore; three sons, David Moore and wife LeeAnn of Chismville, Matt Moore and wife Tracie of Chismville, and Paul Moore and wife Lori of Charleston; a brother, Jerry Moore and wife Suzanne of Paris; a sister, Sandra Craig of Erick, Oklahoma; (11) grandchildren, Amanda Wilhelm (Larry) of Charleston, Stephen Moore (Joni) of Nicut, Oklahoma, Katie Westphal (Ryan) of Mulberry, Alexis King (Dallas) of Charleston, Amber Ramierz (Daniel) of Fort Smith, Levi Moore and (Emily) of Charleston, Hannah Cox (Colton) of Charleston, Olivia Godfrey (Dakota) of Charleston, Gracie Moore of Chismville, Rachel DeWitt (Tanner) of Charleston, and Titus Moore of Charleston; and (13) great-grandchildren, Isaac Moore, Trey, Troy, Brayden, and Aleah Ramierz, Emma and Liam Moore, Aubree Cox, Charlie and Joshua Godfrey, Marley, Corey and Rylan Westphal.
Pallbearers are Ross Freeman, Danny Rothfus, Butch Bradley, Titus Moore, Levi Moore and Stephen Moore.
Honorary pallbearers are Shannon Mangum, Woody Weaver, Hobart Chronister, Edgar Tinkshell, and men of the Branch Church of Christ.
The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the funeral home.
