Norman Ray Perkins of Fort Smith, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. He was born on August 5, 1969. He was 53 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll Thomas Perkins and Daisy Marie (Thorp) Perkins; two brothers, Greg Perkins and Michael McCarroll; and one sister, Pamela Diane Ennis.

Norman worked for Rick's Auto Salvage in Fort Smith.

He is survived by two daughters, Dena Perkins of Fort Smith and Alyssa Perkins of Okay, Oklahoma; two sons, Devon Perkins and Aaron Perkins, both of Okay, Oklahoma; one grandson, Silas Peoples; and his companion, Sherrie Linn of Fort Smith.

Norman loved his kids. He loved his family and friends. He was the life of the party. He was also called "Stormin Norman". Norman never met a stranger. He always made everyone laugh and smile. He had the biggest heart, a heart of gold. He would give you the shirt off his back. He made everyone feel welcome. He would take anyone in with open arms. He loved to go fishing and collect miscellaneous stuff as glass pieces, hats, watches, tools, speakers, absolutely anything only because "He would need it for something." Norman was a very hard worker and would work on anything he could get his hands on. He painted, did reconstruction and redesign, and he also built signs. Anything to do with vehicles. He did just a little bit of everything.
