Norman L. Barnard of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 in a Fort Smith hospital. He was born January 8, 1937 in Paris to the late Floyd A. Barnard and Irene Lee (Miller) Barnard. He was 74 years old.
Norman was a retired truck driver and trader, and was of the Assembly of God faith.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 18th, at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, with Rev. Manuel Mann officiating. Interment will be at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
He is survived by three daughters, Vicki Lee Resch of Roland, Oklahoma, Karen Sue Pool of Magazine, and Ann Margaret Smith of Paris; two sons, Larry Bob Barnard of Lavaca and Bruce Wayne Barnard of Pocola, Oklahoma; two sisters, Betty Bettis of Van Buren and Ruth Raper of Paris; two brothers, Charles "Chuck" Barnard of Paris and Doug Barnard of Caulksville; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Michael Resch, Kenny Resch, Paul Highfield, Harold Raper, David Raper, and Donny Ray Smith.
Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
