Norbert L. Adams, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Ashton Place Health & Rehab in Barling. He was born January 12, 1932 in Charleston to the late John Adams and Agnes (Verkamp) Adams. He was 79 years old.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Norbert was a retired insurance agent and farmer. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, member of Knights of Columbus and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston.
Rosary service will be 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 27th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston.
Funeral Mass will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Charleston, with Father Patrick Watikha, AJ officiating. Burial will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of the home; one daughter, Donna Haaser and husband Sean of Rudy; one son, Tim Kiene and wife June of Charleston; one sister, Hilda Poe of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Donald Kiene and wife Rina, Andrew Kiene, Kevin Kiene and wife Morgann, Jessica Haaser, Kana Haaser, and Fallon Haaser; one great grandchild, Ethan Kiene.
Pallbearers will be David Ritch, David Rietman, Brian Verkamp, Steve Hertlein, Kevin Poe, Kenneth Kiene, Nick Hertlein, and John Adams.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dennis Van Meter, David Bender, Carl Miesner, Herman Verkamp, Allen Hales, Jr., Frankie Spanel, and Joe Kiene.
Family will visit with friends following the Rosary service.
