Nina Faye Ruloph, age 84, of Spring Hill, Kansas, formerly of Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Olathe Hospice House in Olathe, Kansas. She was born on April 16, 1937, in London, Arkansas, to the late Buell Whorton and Mamie (Nordin) Whorton. She was preceded in death by her husband, John (JD) Ruloph; two brothers, James Whorton and Charles Whorton; and a sister, Rosemary Fisher.

Nina loved the Kansas City Chiefs, thrift stores, garage sales, reading, watching westerns, flowers, crafting, fishing, decorating for holidays, and weddings, but most of all she loved Jesus. She was spunky, generous, kind hearted, and a mighty woman of God. She never met a stranger, and always had a smile on her face. She was a faithful servant to the end.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 22nd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Paris. A private burial, with no service, will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by two daughters, Carmella Mashburn of Flower Mound, Texas, and Teresa Kass and husband Keith of Spring Hill, Kansas; a son, Timothy Black of Paris; a sister, Shirley Bradow and husband Duane of Port Angeles, Washington; three brothers, John Whorton and wife Kathy of Russellville, David Whorton of Paris, and Darrell Whorton and wife Patty of Harrison; five grandchildren, Laura Winters of Gardner, Kansas, Jennifer Metcalf-Hughes and husband David of Spring Hill, Jason Ross and wife Darcy of Overland Park, Kansas, Ashlee Cutsinger and husband Justin of Marysville, Washington, and Asa Mashburn and wife Cassandra of San Diego, California; (23) great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday night at the funeral home.
