Nancy Elizabeth Dowdy passed away peacefully at home on July 24th, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.  Nancy was surrounded by her family, friends and beloved dogs as she left this world for the next.

Family was the most important thing to Nancy. Her children were her absolute pride and joy.  She was very close to and had a special bond with each of her grandchildren, who affectionately called her Grandma, Granny or Little Bird.

Nancy had a style that was all her own -she could make any house into a home, decorating in her own special way and tending her yard until it was lush and full of life- even in the desert.
She loved animals of all kinds - dogs, cats, birds, cows- she loved her fur babies.

An avid reader, a lover of the outdoors, a loyal friend, quick to laugh and fiercely protective of the ones she loved, there are so many wonderful things about Nancy and memories to share. She will live on in everything we do.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life on Friday, July 28th at Mom's home in Paris from 4-7pm.
A graveside service will follow at a later date in California at the Bakersfield National Cemetery where Nancy will be interred with her husband, Richard.
