Montez Lacy resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 10, 2010, at the Greenhurst Nursing Center in Charleston. She was born August 11, 1921 in Booneville to the late Sam Alexander and Dona (Thomas) Lacy. She was 88 years old.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Sam Dixon; four sisters and three brothers.

Montez was a former model in Tulsa, Oklahoma, charter member of the Sebastian County Senior Citizen Center in Barling and member of the Vesta Baptist Church.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 12th, at Mayberry Cemetery in Central City, under the direction of the Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be the Rev. Delbert Hill.

She is survived by her daughter, Dona Sosebee, of Charleston; one sister, Blanche Waganer of Perryville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Nenya Perry of Muldrow, De Anna Roberts of McKinney, Texas, Shannon McChristian of Fort Smith and Cody Sosebee of Charleston; five great grandchildren, Nicole Nichols, Jessica Nichols, Jonathan Tedford, Jessica Tedford, and Jeremy Tedford; three great-great grandchildren and the Greenhurst family.

Pallbearers will be Jim Anderson, Bobby Neissl, Jonathan and Jeremy Tedford, Randy McChristian, and Don Sosebee.
