Michael "Fred" Rice, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas. passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Fort Smith. He was born November 1, 1965 in Portland, Oregon. He was 46 years old.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Gayle Rice.

Fred was disabled. He enjoyed riding horses, coloring, and playing with his niece, Kirsten and nephew, Lucas.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23rd at the Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with Rev. Bill Van Meter officiating. Burial will be at Caulksville Cemetery in Caulksville, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

He is survived by his father, Don Rice of Charleston; one sister, Leisa Pfeiffer and husband Rick of Caulksville; one brother, Cody Rice of Dunnville, Kentucky; his grandparents, Ted & Betty Williams of Pocola, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be Dale Rice, Ron Rice, David Rice, Lucas Hice, Mark King, and Charles Bohannan.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Allen King and Tudy Loughridge.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
