Michael Gene Metcalf

Michael Gene Metcalf of Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Monday, September 21, 2026, at his home. He was born on April 19, 1955, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Roy Gene Metcalf and Naoma Margaret (Terry) Metcalf. He was 71 years old.

Mike retired from Littlefield Oil Company. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies, growing at large garden, and working on his farm. He loved his family very much and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 28th at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston, with his brother-in-law, Charles Ketter, Sr. officiating. Cremation arrangements and services are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Brenda (McCage) Metcalf; a daughter, Annie Conway and husband Charles of Greenwood; a son, Casey Metcalf and wife Michele of Booneville; a sister, Vicki Tate of the Oak Bend Community; a brother, Brian Metcalf and wife Nataliya of Northwest Arkansas; six grandchildren, Korbin Wells, Kaylin (Wells) Lawson and husband Cameron, Elijah Wells, Kaleb Wells, Kinsey Conway, and Cohen Conway; and two great-grandchildren, Brinnley Wells and Silas Wells.

Honorary pallbearers are Steve Heathcock, Gary Allen, Carrol Allen, Greg Alexander, Prentice Maddux, and PeeWee Ketter.
