Michael Joseph Legenzoff who resided in the Cox Valley Community near Magazine, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was born August 27, 1931 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Joseph Legenzoff and Josephine Margaret (Rebros) Legenzoff. He was 79 years old.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Louise (Rawson) Legenzoff.
Michael was a retired Medical Corpsman for the U.S. Navy, was a decorated Vietnam War veteran, and was of the Russsian Orthodox faith.
The body was cremated under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.
There is no memorial service scheduled at this time.
He is survived by four daughters, Joan Sullivent of Harrison, Robyn Bynum & husband David of Magazine, Diane Shores & husband Larry of Booneville, and Lisa Cox; two sons, Michael Shoemaker & wife Margie of Denver, Colorado and Steve Shoemaker & wife Jan of San Marcos, California; one brother, Don Legenzoff of Erie, Pennsylvania; (17) grandchildren, (38) great grandchildren, and (5) great-great grandchildren.
