Obituary

Mary Louise (Friemel) Wi llmann died on 27 October 2022 at the age of 91.  She was born to William and Mary (Klaeger) Friemel in Subiaco, Arkansas, on 5 May 1931.  She was preceded in death by her husband W. J. (Slick) Willmann, her parents, her brothers William (Bill), Emil, Walter, and Joseph (Joe), her sister Hilda, and her granddaughter Regina.

Mary Lou was married to her loving husband, W.J. (Slick) Willmann, on 17 October 1950 and they spent nearly 71 years together in a beautiful and loving relationship.  They raised three boys: David, Stephen, and Dennis.

She was a proud 1949 graduate of St Scholastica Academy in Fort Smith, AR.  As the first member of her family to gain a high school diploma, she was proud of working her way through her studies at St Scho's, earning enough money to pay for her tuition.  Her favorite tee shirt read, "Once a Scho Girl…Always a Scho Girl!!

Mary Lou dedicated her life as an unselfish care giver in her roles as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, daughter-in-law, and all around "Go-To-Person" for her (and her husband's) families.  She spent many hours of her private time as an assistant Treasurer of the Paris Federal Credit Union for 35 years, while her husband was working on the farm.  As a member of the Saint Joseph Catholic Church, she spent countless hours volunteering for the Ladies Society, the Quilting Club, and she strongly supported the Saint Joseph Catholic School, being the daughter-in-law/wife/mother/grandmother of 4 generations to attend the school.

Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2nd at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paris, with Deacon Tom Pohlmeier officiating.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Reginald Udouj officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Paris, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.

She is survived by her sister, Betty Rose (Friemel) Seiter, her three sons: David (and his wife Trish) of Carlisle PA, Steve (and his wife Linda) of Paris AR, and Dennis (and his wife Tammy) of Paris AR, six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Henry Frederick, Brian Frederick, Tony Friemel, Robert Friemel, Gary Simmons, and Bob Parks.

The family will visit with friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday night prior to the rosary service starting at 7:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that any donations be made in honor of Mary Lou (Friemel) Willmann to the Saint Joseph Catholic School.
