Obituary

Mary Randall Tate, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013 in Charleston. She was born September 24, 1922 in Franklin County near Branch, Arkansas to the late E.Y. Hill and Maggie (Austin) Hill. She was 90 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lytle William Tate.

Mary was a former government employee, owner and operator of a dairy farm and a homemaker. She along with her late husband, Lytle Tate, was owner and operator of Tate Grocery Store in Charleston for many years. She was an avid quilter, Sunday school teacher and member of the Vesta Baptist Church.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 3rd at Brotherton Funeral Home Chapel in Charleston. Burial will be at Tate Cemetery, located northwest of Charleston, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Charleston.

Officiating the service will be Rev. Shayne Baker.

She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Wilson of Charleston; one grandson, James Wilson and wife Jeannie of Van Buren and four great-grandchildren, Chloe, Harrison, Logan, and Emrin.

Pallbearers will be David Tate, Robert Hill, David Hill, Willie McDonald, Rusty McDonald, Jerry Warren, Fred Ernst, and Jamie Young.

Family will visit with friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.
