Mary Katherine Hartley, who resided in Fort Smith, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born on October 3, 1935, in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma, to the late John Taylor and Cleo Gladys (Keadle) Taylor. She was 89 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Doyle Hartley; her brothers, John Junior Taylor and Guy Gilbert Taylor; and her sisters, Virginia (Taylor) Chambers, Betty (Taylor) Thompson, Mildred Ruth (Taylor) Carter, and infant sister, JoAnn Taylor.
Mary was as a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church in Fort Smith. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy Farrar and husband Gene of Fort Smith; a son, Ken Hartley and wife Patsy of Lavaca; a sister, Linda Kay Bland of Fort Smith; five grandchildren, Suzanne Hartley, Richard Hartley and wife Robin, Matthew Hartley and wife Brittany, Amanda Roebuck and husband Lewis, and Aimee Farrar; and seven great-grandchildren.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
