Obituary

Mary Agnes (Bradford) Gray resided in Paris, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Paris. She was born August 21, 1909 at Port Arthur, Texas to the late Charles Francis Bradford and Ellen Elizabeth (Eastman) Bradford. She was 101 years old.

Residing in Paris since 1927, she always maintained a beautiful home, flower and vegetable garden and was well known for her skills. A member of First United Methodist Church, she often provided altar flowers for Sunday worship.

The family is deeply grateful to Gina Price and entire staff of Valley View Lodge where she happily spent her final few years.

She is survived by three daughters, Nelda Gray McMahan of Paris, Gwen Gray Newkirk of Helena, AR, and Tommie Lou Gray of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren, Michele Abraham and husband Jim of Little Rock, Suzanne Rodriquez of Granbury, TX, Bill Harry Newkirk and wife Katrina and Kyle Newkirk and wife Tanya of Liberty, TX, Gray Jackson and wife Becki of Denver, CO, Scott Jackson and wife Dawn of Albuquerque, NM, and Thomas Jackson and wife Melissa of Las Cruces, NM; eleven great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren; two nieces and several cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Thomas F. Gray; her siblings, Clinton Bradford, Helen Owens, and Shirley Davis; one granddaughter, Simone Earnheart.

A private burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Paris followed by a public memorial service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 10th at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jim Rowland officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday night at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home in Paris.
